We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Foundation to join Procore’s Product & Technology organization. In this role, you’ll build and operate the tooling, frameworks, and services that make AI-native workflows the default across Procore's software development lifecycle. The primary goal of this role is to accelerate developer productivity and high velocity without compromising on quality.

This position reports into a Senior Engineering Manager and will be based in our Cairo, Egypt office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you’ll do:
Design, build, and evolve core agentic tooling that enables engineers to leverage AI natively across the software development lifecycle.
Evaluate and integrate AI tools and frameworks into Procore's supported agentic suite using data-driven build-vs-buy decisions.
Vet community-built skills and tools contributed across the organization, establishing evaluation criteria to promote effective solutions.
Establish and champion engineering standards and platform contracts that allow development teams to ship safely at high velocity.
Build feedback loops using metrics and observability to measure the impact of agentic workflows on cycle time, failure rate, and throughput.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with depth in full-stack development and backend systems.
Strong fundamentals in Ruby on Rails, Python, or TypeScript, with comfort reading and contributing across multiple languages.
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) and building/customizing AI-assisted workflows, skills, or agentic pipelines.
Solid DevOps instincts with a strong understanding of deployment strategies, feature flags, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes operations.
Demonstrated ability to navigate uncharted territory by critically evaluating, experimenting with, and implementing fast-moving AI technologies.
Experience building AI-native developer tooling, MCPs, or LLM evaluation frameworks is a plus.
