Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Summary

Build and ship AI-powered CRM, loyalty, and automation features using LLMs, RAG, and agents; full-stack development with AWS and SQL databases.

Ascentis is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and deliver practical AI-powered applications for CRM, loyalty, automation, analytics, and customer engagement use cases.

This role is suitable for an experienced engineer who can develop full-stack solutions, understand business requirements, and apply AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, workflow automation, and AI agents in real production systems.

What you'll be doing

Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services

Develop AI-enabled features using LLMs, APIs, agents, RAG, and automation workflows

Integrate applications with CRM, loyalty, eCommerce, BI, and external systems

Build clean, reliable, and maintainable code following engineering standards

Work with product, data, and business teams to turn requirements into working solutions

Improve application performance, security, monitoring, and reliability

Evaluate AI outputs and improve accuracy, safety, and usability

Guide junior developers and support technical decision-making when required

What we're looking for

5+ years of hands-on software development experience

Strong experience in backend or full-stack development

Good understanding of system design, API design, databases, and cloud deployment

Experience with AI application development, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic workflows

Practical mindset with the ability to ship real products, not just prototypes

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with unclear requirements

Comfortable using AI coding tools while still understanding the code clearly

Good communication skills and able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Technical skills

Hands-on experience with SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL

Experience with cloud platforms AWS

Familiar with REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and modern software development practices

Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, workflow automation, or RPA is an advantage
