Senior Software Engineer - Alfresco with Java

We are seeking an experienced Alfresco + Java Developer with strong expertise in Alfresco Process Services (APS), Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Alfresco Application Development Framework (ADF), and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Alfresco Process Services solutions, implementing new features, modernizing and upgrading the Alfresco platform, resolving production issues, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade solutions using Alfresco Process Services (APS)
• Analyze existing workflows and business processes to identify optimization and modernization opportunities
• Customize and extend the Alfresco platform to meet business and technical requirements
• Develop integrations between Alfresco and enterprise applications using APIs and integration frameworks
• Build scalable and distributed applications using microservices architecture
• Participate in Alfresco platform upgrades and modernization initiatives to ensure alignment with supported versions
• Develop and maintain Alfresco workflows, business rules, permissions, repositories, and customized templates
• Collaborate with business users, product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to solution design for content management and platform modernization initiatives
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Create and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and automated tests
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues, taking ownership through resolution

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, with significant expertise in Java and enterprise application development
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Expertise in Alfresco Process Services (APS) and Alfresco Application Development Framework (ADF)
• Understanding of enterprise workflow management concepts and process automation using Alfresco APS
• Skills in Alfresco customization, configuration, workflow development, API integration, and ADF template customization
• Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level process management solutions
• Familiarity with integrating Alfresco with external applications and enterprise systems
• Understanding of workflows, permissions, repositories, content management concepts, and ADF customizations
• Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 17 or later), Spring Boot, and enterprise application development
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, backend service development, and distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices

• Experience with Alfresco platform upgrades, migration, and modernization initiatives
