Senior Software Engineer
Summary
Builds and maintains cloud-native Node.js services in TypeScript, deploys them on AWS EKS, and automates delivery with GitLab CI/CD while ensuring accessibility and test-driven practices.
Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
- AWS cloud-native development and architecture experience
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS
- Experience developing and automating CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with GitLab and modern software delivery tooling
- Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with Nunjucks, Twig, Jinja, or similar templating technologies
- Experience building accessible applications aligned with WCAG standards
- Experience delivering secure and scalable solutions within complex environments
- Previous experience working on UK public sector projects
- BPSS clearance required
- Public sector experience essential
- Develop applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
- Build templates and layouts using Nunjucks or similar templating frameworks
- Design and deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS
- Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Amazon EKS
- Drive CI/CD automation and engineering best practices
