We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in.NET MAUIto join our cross-platform mobile development team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance applications that run seamlessly on Android, iOS, from a single shared codebase. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver polished, production-grade experiences to our users.
As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and champion engineering best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI targeting Android, iOS.
- Architect scalable, maintainable solutions following MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
- Implement native platform integrations and custom renderers/handlers where platform-specific behaviour is required.
- Proficiency with platform-specific APIs on Android (Java/Kotlin interop) and iOS (Swift/Obj-C interop).
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into responsive, accessible user interfaces.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services with robust error handling.
- Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests using xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest along with Appium or similar frameworks.
- Optimize application performance including startup time, memory usage, rendering, and battery consumption.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with .NET MAUI releases, Xamarin migration paths, and the broader .NET ecosystem.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of mobile applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms (with demonstrated MAUI migration expertise).
- Proficiency with platform-specific APIs on Android (Java/Kotlin interop) and iOS (Swift/Obj-C interop).
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Solid knowledge of dependency injection, asynchronous programming (async/await), and reactive patterns.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, pull request culture, and branch strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based).
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning skills across multiple target platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of platform-specific design systems (Material Design, Apple Human Interface Guidelines, Fluent Design).
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or App Center for CI/CD.
- Familiarity with SQLite, Realm, or other embedded databases for local data persistence.
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) and building inclusive applications.
- Contributions to open-source .NET or MAUI community projects.

Main responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the maintenance and evolution of a portfolio of IT solutions supporting medical and anti-doping activities within an international sports environment.
- Acting as the key interface between business stakeholders, ICT teams, delivery teams, suppliers and partners to ensure that delivered solutions meet business needs and expectations.
- Collecting, analysing and formalising business requirements, then translating them into clear technical briefs, user stories, test scenarios and documentation for the development teams.
- Maintaining and refining medical and anti-doping product backlogs, ensuring that roadmaps remain accurate, up to date and aligned with business priorities.
- Coordinating and delivering onboarding activities for business users, including workshops, training sessions and event-based enablement initiatives.
- Supporting the adoption and operational use of digital medical solutions during events, workshops and conferences, including on-site support when required.
- Acting as an escalation point between business units, ICT stakeholders and delivery teams, while helping to remove impediments and resolve operational issues.
- Managing relationships with suppliers and partners, ensuring that service delivery meets contractual obligations, quality standards and project objectives.
- Overseeing solution maintenance and support by testing functionalities, identifying incidents, coordinating fixes and suggesting continuous improvements.
- Conducting quality controls based on predefined metrics and taking appropriate actions to ensure a high standard of delivery.
- Supporting the delivery of projects and products in line with the roadmap, while fostering innovation and identifying opportunities for improvement, optimisation and cost savings.
- Monitoring market trends and emerging technologies in order to identify new opportunities relevant to the medical and anti-doping digital ecosystem.
- You have at least 5 years of proven experience in B2B product development, product delivery or digital solution implementation.
- You have experience in application maintenance, support and operational delivery.
- Experience in the medical industry, sports environment or international organisation is an asset.
- You have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- You are able to write clear user stories, manage backlogs and coordinate UAT, functional testing and defect tracking.
- You are comfortable working with business stakeholders and technical teams, acting as a bridge between business needs and IT delivery.
- You have experience with user onboarding, training delivery and stakeholder engagement, ideally in event-based or operational environments.
- You have experience with data visualisation, analytics and data modelling.
- You are proficient with product and backlog management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent.
- You have experience with collaboration and documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
- You understand API-based integrations and REST/SOAP services.
- You are familiar with cloud-based platforms and SaaS application environments.
- You have a basic understanding of IT service management tools and processes such as ServiceNow or equivalent.
- You are able to support and troubleshoot applications in live and operational environments.
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent is an asset.
- Familiarity with security and data protection principles, including GDPR awareness, is an asset.
- Understanding of system interfaces, data flows and interoperability between applications is an asset.
