Senior Software Engineer Applications and Infrastructure

Leads fintech applications and infrastructure, overseeing client tools, ledgers, payment pipelines, and security controls while deputizing for cloud environments, observability, and disaster recovery.
You lead the applications domain, oversee client and internal financial tooling, govern ledgers and payment pipelines, enforce application security, and deputize for infrastructure by managing environments, observability, release controls, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the applications domain
- Direct architecture and delivery of client dashboards, merchant portals, balance interfaces, and customer API gateways
- Oversee internal administration portals and trade reconciliation workflows
- Own multi-asset ledger and accounting-book application logic
- Manage fiat, stablecoin, payment, and payout pipelines
- Enforce API key, OAuth, JWT, MFA, and four-eyes security controls
- Deputize for infrastructure
- Co-own platform architecture, observability, cloud environments, and disaster recovery
- Implement isolated UAT and staging environments
- Establish CI/CD gates, static analysis rules, and production access controls
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years in an engineering leadership role
- Experience guiding software engineering teams in startup or scaling environments
- Experience establishing UAT environments, mandatory pull request reviews, and release governance
- Architectural familiarity with Go, Python, and Rust
- Experience with distributed microservices
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with REST, WebSockets, and gRPC
- Experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Experience in regulated fintech, payments, digital assets, or trading platforms preferred
- Familiarity with MAS Technology Risk Management, ISO 27001, or equivalent frameworks preferred
