Senior Software Engineer – Automation & Integrations (AI)

About the role
You’ll build and run the workflow automation, customer messaging and data behind our websites and customer onboarding. It’s hands-on work in a regulated environment, with a short path from decision to production.
What you’ll do
Run and improve our customer-facing websites and content platform
Build workflow automation across our finance platform, websites and third-party services
Maintain and improve our automated SMS and email messaging to customers
Manage the Postgres data layer: schema design, migrations and data quality
Deliver changes through our development process: reviewed, tested and documented
What you’ll need
5+ years of professional software engineering
Node and TypeScript services in production
React front ends shipped on a Postgres-backed stack
Integration of multiple systems through APIs and workflow automation
Sound understanding of application security and data protection
AI coding agents as part of normal development work
Clear communication with non-technical colleagues
Nice to have
Automated SMS or email systems
LLM or AI features built into production systems
Consumer finance or another regulated environment
Headless CMS
