Senior Software Engineer, Backend
Our client is a privacy-focused technology company that has built a portfolio of privacy products ranging from VPN to private second phone apps, ensuring users safety across every touchpoint online. They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join their team in building robust systems and solving infrastructure challenges.
Responsibilities
- Work with state of the art technologies to solve genuine, real-world problems
- Implement backend services needed for our Private Communications / Messaging / VOIP platform
- Design and architect innovative, modern solutions
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards
- Work with frontend team to fine tune existing APIs
- System architecture design
- Collaborate with other developers to innovate on our internal platform, shared components, libraries and development toolchain
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related areas
- Over 3 years of experience in backend software development
- Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures and algorithms
- Passionate about coding, innovation, and solving challenging problems
- Experience in TypeScript/NodeJS, MySQL, AWS
- Bonus if you have experience with building communications or privacy tools as well as in networking and VPN concepts
- Open source contributions
