The Role You'll Play
- Build and maintain performant backend systems that power the experiences our largest, most complex customers rely on every day
- Design for scale and multi-tenancy, the systems you build serve enterprise brands running hundreds to thousands of locations, with the reliability that demands
- Partner with Product, Design, and QA to take features from ideation through deployment, iterating with the end user in mind
- Champion engineering best practices: automated testing, peer review, observability, and elegant design
- Lead and influence architecture decisions that prioritize scalability and simplicity
- Seek feedback, iterate fast, and balance innovation with reliability
- Approach development with empathy—understanding how your work supports both our partners and their communities
- Mentor other engineers and help foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture
Experience You Bring
- You care about writing great code and solving the right problems. You’re energized by big-picture thinking, grounded in delivering value with clarity and care
- Senior-level experience building and operating large-scale SaaS applications
- Proficiency with languages like C#/.NET and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience designing APIs and working within a microservice architecture
- Familiarity with observability tools like New Relic or Kibana
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational data modeling
- An agile mindset and a strong grasp of software development lifecycle practices
- Ability to navigate complexity, assessing tradeoffs, and executing with confidence
- Excellent communicator who brings others along and helps ideas stick
- Languages: C# and .NET / , React/Next.js/TypeScript
- Data: PostgreSQL / Amazon Aurora (Npgsql), Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB, EDW (Snowflake), Redis (AWS ElastiCache), FluentMigrator
- Architecture: Microservices on AWS including event driven (SNS, SQS, Lambda, EKS, Aurora, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, STS), with CDC pipelines and GraphQL
- Monitoring: New Relic, NLog, CloudWatch Logs
