Senior Software Engineer- Backend (Platform)

Summary

Build and scale backend services for an AI-powered communication coaching platform, focusing on analytics, data, search, and infrastructure while ensuring security and cost efficiency.

As part of the Platform team, you'll be building the backend services and architecture that power our product. You'll have impact across analytics, data, search, infrastructure, monitoring, cost management, security, and scaling. You'll work on our highest scale problems, dive deep into technical challenges, and deliver solutions that allow us to scale quickly to meet our customers’ needs, while establishing wide ownership and expertise.

About you

  • 5+ years of professional development experience, shipping production code.
  • Strong backend capabilities—owned services end‑to‑end and delivered in fast‑moving environments.
  • Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or Python, with the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
  • Clear communicator who works well across engineering and product, and who gives and receives feedback well.
  • You understand how your work connects to business outcomes and user impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to be on‑site in Seattle, WA 3 days a week (M, T, Th).
  • NoSQL databases and Kubernetes experience.
  • Security and compliance experience.
