Join the FundsCore Recon Platform team at Grab - a dynamic team building a reliable platform to address challenging problems in the Payments domain. We are a team of engineers, designers, product managers, and operations who innovate and collaborate to solve one of the most challenging problems - enabling accurate reconciliation with many financial partners. This role prefers you have certain Payments domain expertise or demonstrate quick-learning skills.
Get to Know the Role
You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining one of our Payments Core (FundsCore) platforms which includes complex backend systems and data pipelines to meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
You will contribute to our Operational Excellence and mentoring juniors in the team. You will report to an Engineering Manager II and work onsite at Grab One-North office in Singapore.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software applications that meet business and non-functional requirements
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code to solve challenging problems in the Fintech domain
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, ensure proper technical documentation, and facilitate knowledge sharing
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing fixes and implementing long-term sustainable solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and the technical direction of projects
- Ensure system reliability and availability through observability practices and drive continuous improvements in Operational Excellence; participate in On-Call rotations is mandatory
- Provide DevOps support to the team to ensure system health and performance
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, encouraging a culture of learning and improvement
- Stay current with latest industry trends and technologies; leverage Generative AI tools to enhance productivity and improve system capabilities
