Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems and services
- Work alongside other engineers to build new features and enhance existing ones
- Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of existing backend systems
- Participate in production operations, including rotational Incident Response
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Partner with engineering, product, leadership, and sales to understand user experiences
- Continually improve planning, development, and deployment processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience building backend applications
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud computing platforms
- Experience with modern data storage solutions like MySQL, Postgres, or MongoDB
- Solid fundamental skills in data structures and algorithms
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers
