Senior Software Engineer

• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality full stack software applications supporting advanced DNA sequencing and genotyping instruments.
• Design and develop scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable software solutions across both backend and frontend components.
• Develop and maintain asynchronous applications and RESTful services using .NET and C#.
• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern frontend technologies and frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Develop clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code that meets product, technical, and customer requirements.
• Write and maintain unit tests and automated tests to ensure software quality, reliability, and long term maintainability.
• Participate actively in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and product demonstrations.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Participate in software architecture and design discussions, code reviews, and technical evaluations to promote consistent and high-quality engineering practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment workflows to support efficient software delivery.
• Use source control systems, preferably Git, to manage code and collaborate effectively with development teams.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor AI, to improve development efficiency, code quality, testing, and overall developer productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, testing, product, and other engineering teams, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, engineering practices, and product quality.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to support evolving business and project needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong OOP skills, preferably C#, with experience in asynchronous .NET applications
• Experience building REST-based services/APIs, with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
• Skilled in writing unit tests and clean, maintainable code
• Proficient with Git for version control, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build workflows
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor AI is a plus
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teamwork
• Experience with embedded systems/hardware integration is a plus
