Senior Software Engineer
Summary
Senior Software Engineer joining a core product team (London or Edinburgh, hybrid) at an energy & renewables tech firm, building and evolving a real-time data/trading platform. Day-to-day is hands-on C#/.NET architecture, Azure cloud operations and CI/CD, with heavy use of AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong C# and .NET expertise, with a track record of designing high-performance, real-time systems
- Solid database experience
- Confidence using AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows day to day
- Familiarity with Agile environments and collaborative code review
- Git and Azure DevOps knowledge
- A strong communicator, able to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences
- Driving the evolution of our platform architecture, spotting opportunities to improve performance, scalability and resilience
- Owning technical design decisions while staying hands-on through the full development lifecycle, from concept to delivery
- Championing engineering best practice, clean structure, testability and solid documentation
- Supporting cloud operations across Microsoft Azure, including App Services, CI/CD pipelines and Azure Front Door
