Position Description: As a Cognos Developer in an agile team, you are responsible to manage and improve the processes, tools, and methodologies throughout the software development life cycle. You take over the preparation, integration, and deployment of new releases for our on prem and migration of Cognos reports. In projects you are already involved in the architectural and design phase to ensure production readiness and compliance. You also maintain the environment and ensure the stability and security of the same. Additionally, you are responsible to manage server OS upgrades, patch and upgrade containers, and prepare new servers for the application deployments together with other IT Infrastructure departments. For less mature applications you support the developers with the Cloud migration and manage the application containers, cronjobs, sealed secrets, and application infrastructure dependencies.

Your future duties and responsibilities
. Design, develop and maintain Cognos based reporting solutions.
. Develop and implement efficient algorithms and data structures.
. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
. Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues.
. Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
. Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and standards are met
. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software development

Must Have Skills:

. Bachelor/Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other relevant principles
. 5+ years of proven Experience in IBM Cognos 10 and/or11, Cognos Framework Manager, Cognos Data Module, Cognos Analytics Reports, Cognos Analytics Dashboards and Stories.
. Thorough knowledge of Cognos development and administration, Business intelligence, and data warehousing concepts, report and application development, Cognos testing, and troubleshooting, BI documentation, and end user support.
. Good knowledge in SQL, debugging report issues and performance improvements.
. IBM Cognos Certifications and knowledge of any of the below Data Warehouse & BI technologies will be considered as a plus: RDBMS (DB2, MSSQL Server, Oracle, etc.), Scripting, etc. Automation Tools (Control M, Oracle Workflow, etc.)
. Ability to work with minimum supervision, effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.

. Analytical and strong problem solving skills
. Good knowledge on the systems development life cycle Project management, processes, tools, concepts and methodologies
. Ability to communicate in fluent English in speech and writing English B1 (written and spoken)
