Senior Software Engineer (C++)
- Design and own secure, scalable services
- Guide technical decisions and evaluate trade-offs including AI-driven components
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping
- Rigorously validate AI outputs to ensure quality and safety
- Advise on appropriate AI use including model concepts, prompt patterns, ethical and privacy considerations
- Embed monitoring and compliance checks into workflows
- Document residual risks and mitigations
- Coach peers on engineering best practices and AI-augmented approaches
- Partner with Product, Security, DevOps, and other teams to align on features, deployment, and compliance
- Scout and pilot emerging tools or frameworks including AI toolchains
- Integrate automated governance checks into pipelines
- Enhance observability and incident response with focus on productivity, cost, and resilience
- 5–7 years of professional software engineering in an agile environment delivering secure, scalable services
- Understanding of high-level LLM concepts such as hallucinations and prompt sensitivity
- Experience in using AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping with critical review of outputs
- Skill in prompt engineering including designing reusable prompts and coaching peers
- Familiarity with ethical and cost risks including bias, privacy, and vendor lock-in
- Embedding basic compliance checks into workflows
- Proficiency in C++ for RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based serverless patterns
- Comfort with infrastructure as code such as CDK or Terraform
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases including schema design and optimization for performance
- Application of security best practices in code and deployments including IAM and secrets management
- Review of AI-assisted suggestions for safety
- Strong communication of technical and AI-related concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to mentor or guide peers on engineering best practices and AI-augmented workflows
- Familiarity with Angular for effective collaboration on end-to-end features
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
