Senior Software Engineer C# .Net

Summary

Builds and optimizes high-performance backend services in C#/.NET for a fintech platform serving global investment managers, focusing on distributed systems and data-intensive workflows.

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We require a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline from a top tier or Russell Group university, backed by A grades at A-level.
  • We require expertise with modern C# and .Net development.
  • We require strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, and engineering best practices.
  • We require a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and system design.
  • We value a collaborative approach and a genuine enthusiasm for solving difficult technical problems.
  • We need someone able to take ownership of significant technical initiatives and influence engineering direction.
  • Experience with Python, data-intensive systems, or financial technology environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Responsibilities:
  • We design and develop business-critical backend services using modern C# and .Net.
  • We work on distributed systems that process large volumes of data with demanding performance and reliability requirements.
  • We are involved throughout the software lifecycle, from technical design and architecture through to implementation, optimisation, and production delivery.
  • We collaborate closely with colleagues to build elegant, robust software.
  • We contribute to technical discussions, debate engineering approaches, and help continuously improve our systems and engineering practices.
  • We influence architecture, design, and product direction as senior members of the engineering team.
