Senior software engineer - cloud infrastructure

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in developing and maintaining their cloud infrastructure in Sandton. You will be responsible for designing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications and services. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-based applications and services using microservices architecture. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (Ia C) using tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation. Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-effectiveness and performance. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Collaborate with Dev Ops and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence. Requirements BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on cloud infrastructure. Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services. Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
