Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Networking (Mandarin, English)
Summary
Senior software engineer on Google's Cloud Interconnect team in Singapore, building the networking infrastructure that links enterprise on-prem data centers to Google Cloud at 10/100 Gb/s, from physical routers up through cloud virtualization. Day-to-day involves designing and scaling cloud networking products (C, Go, Python, C++, or Java) for hybrid cloud and AI workloads.
Interconnect has been one of the key features for GCP to onboard large enterprises and as such is a high impact project.
In this role, you will build Cloud Interconnect, which virtualizes the edge and foundation and allows enterprise customers to connect their on-premises data centers/networks to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at 100 and 10 Gb/s speed. You will also span to connecting smaller customers through partners, as well as building ultra-low-latency interconnects in order for customers to be able to use large file stores and databases operated by third-parties, adjacent to Google data centers. You will manage complexity from physical network and routers through cloud virtualization.
