\nTrusted Space is seeking a Senior Software Developer with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and 8+ years’ experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern C++, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment. This position is contingent upon award, anticipated start on 09/01/2026.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Supports program objectives to include software development in a classified environment \n
- Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases. \n
- Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety. \n
- Able to lead small high performing team of developers across the full software development lifecycle \n
- Comfortable building C++ programs from the ground up. \n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. \n
- 8+ years in software engineering or related experience \n
- 3 years of experience with C++ (preferably C++11 or newer) \n
- Experience with Python 3 \n
- Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments (Mostly Linux) \n
- Experience leading agile teams and implementing agile best practices \n
- Must have the ability to architect software solutions using new and novel concepts \n
- An active Top Secret/SCI clearance \n
- \n
- Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML) frameworks and concepts (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, RLlib) \n
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology \n
- Experience with database programming (e.g. MongoDB) \n
- Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker) \n
- Experience with C++20 or newer \n
- Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations \n
The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
