Senior Software Engineer, Core
Summary
Senior software engineer on Google's Core team, building foundational infrastructure and security systems that scale to support AI workloads and protect Alphabet's systems.
- Lead infrastructure scaling to support human and agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads, alongside security products that aid in keeping Alphabet secure.
- Work with cross-functional partners and other Product Areas (PAs) to ensure seamless user and agent behavior is supported while building security controls.
- Gain deep knowledge in the security space to deliver scalable solutions and services that manage security for critical Google infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and land complex products requiring working knowledge of backends, frontends, and storage.
- Partner and collaborate effectively with cross-functional roles (Product Management, Program Management, User Experience, etc.) across global sites.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in developing security or privacy products.
- Experience in common storage services (e.g., Spanner, MySql, NoSQL systems).
- Experience in Angular, TypeScript or JavaScript.
