Senior Software Engineer Data Engineering
You will design, build, and evolve core datasets that track product performance and company-wide metrics. You will develop scalable data pipelines that ingest application events and database snapshots into a data lake, ensuring high data quality and reliability. You will work with application engineers to improve data generation patterns and with analytics teams to design intuitive, well-documented data models. You will contribute to shared data engineering tooling, define best practices, and support downstream consumers in using data effectively.
Responsibilities
- Define and build key datasets across product areas
- Build scalable data pipelines using Python Spark and Airflow
- Partner with upstream engineering teams to enhance data generation patterns
- Collaborate with data consumers to design intuitive data models
- Develop shared data engineering tooling and standards
- Define and promote data engineering best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years experience building end-to-end data pipelines
- Production-level Python software engineering experience for applications services or systems
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines using Spark Flink or similar
- Strong SQL skills including Presto and Spark SQL
- Experience across the data stack including data infrastructure analytics and visualization platforms
- Proven ability to collaborate and democratize data through actionable insights
