Overview

In this role, you will help accelerate autonomous driving by shaping the data platform that powers ML and perception models. You will join the London Data Infrastructure team to enable scalable, robust data pipelines and distributed systems in the cloud. Your work will impact self-driving software development and data-driven validation at scale. You’ll collaborate with CV/ML engineers to tackle real-world driving challenges and mentor junior teammates, contributing to a mission of safer mobility.

Responsibilities
  • Tackle high-impact projects in the self-driving space and design new data solutions
  • Collaborate with Computer Vision and Machine Learning engineers on data-driven initiatives
  • Tailor the data ecosystem to complex ML data requirements
  • Build efficient data pipelines for vehicle fleet ingestion
  • Develop and operate distributed data processing systems in the cloud
  • Mentor junior engineers in day-to-day activities
  • Define long-term strategy for several data-centric products
Key requirements
  • Extensive experience in Python (or another object-oriented language)
  • Experience building reliable, distributed applications for Data Processing or similar areas
  • Experience with SumoSushi Flow orchestration is strongly preferred
  • Working with RPC protocols such as gRPC/protobuf
  • Hands-on experience developing cloud applications (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborating across teams and disciplines
  • Mentoring peers and junior engineers
  • Python (or OO language)
  • Data pipelines and data ingestion
  • Distributed systems and data processing
