Senior Software Engineer (DCV Software)
Description
*English resume is required*
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software for diagnostics, calibration, and verification (DCV) of semiconductor Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
This role focuses on developing software that interacts closely with ATE hardware and instrumentation to support diagnostics, calibration, verification, and the performance and reliability of ATE instruments and systems. The role requires strong software engineering skills, as well as a solid understanding of hardware-software interactions, instrumentation, and measurement-related challenges.
The position involves close collaboration with software, firmware, hardware, and applications engineers across global teams, and is well-suited for engineers who enjoy working with complex, long-lived systems and value technical depth, ownership, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain DCV software for semiconductor ATE, including diagnostics, calibration, verification, and related functionality.
- Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python to support DCV development, test automation, measurement data analysis, and engineering tools.
- Collaborate closely with other software engineers, as well as firmware, hardware, and applications engineers, throughout the design, development, integration, testing, and support of ATE solutions.
- Participate in requirements discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and software release activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving software behavior, firmware interactions, hardware dependencies, instrument behavior, and measurement results, including issues observed on hardware or in simulation environments.
- Analyze test and measurement data to support diagnostics, calibration, verification, and performance evaluation, including the use of statistical or process capability metrics where appropriate.
- Develop software and test solutions that improve the reliability, diagnosability, performance, and maintainability of ATE instruments and systems.
- Support and enhance legacy DCV software while contributing to new features and the ongoing evolution of ATE products and platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, software tools, test automation, and engineering practices.
