Senior Software Engineer – SRE Products (Full Stack)

Role Summary

1. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Site Reliability
Engineering (SRE) Product Team. This role focuses on building and scaling SRE
platforms, automation products, observability solutions, reliability tooling, and AI-
enabled engineering capabilities.
2. The ideal candidate is a backend-focused full stack developer with deep expertise in
Python, API development, JavaScript/TypeScript backend engineering, and AWS cloud-
native application development. Front-end experience in React, Angular, or TypeScript
frameworks is expected, while the primary emphasis remains on backend engineering
and platform development.

Key Responsibilities
1. Design and build SRE products, automation platforms, observability solutions, and self-
service engineering tools.
2. Develop scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services using Python and
Node.js/TypeScript.
3. Build cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API
Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, RDS, and CloudWatch.
4. Develop frontend interfaces using React, Angular, or TypeScript frameworks.
5. Implement reliability, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence capabilities
into products.
6. Partner with platform, cloud, and application teams to solve reliability challenges
through software engineering.

Required Skills & Experience
1. 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack development
expertise.
2. Expert-level Python development experience.
3. Strong experience in API design, microservices, distributed systems, and backend
engineering.
4. Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js development experience.
5. Hands-on AWS cloud development experience.
6. Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift/EKS and containerized environments.
7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform,
CloudFormation, or CDK).
8. Understanding of SRE principles including SLI/SLOs, observability, incident
management, and automation.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
2. Experience building internal developer platforms, self-service portals, or engineering
productivity tools.
3. Exposure to AIOps, AI agents, MCP, RAG, or GenAI-based engineering solutions.
