Our technology helps the world's most visionary companies from startups to Fortune 500 leaders build smarter, faster semiconductors, specifically SoCs and chiplets. From the car you drive, to the AI in the cloud, Arteris connects the innovative tech that shapes tomorrow.
What You'll Do as a Senior Software Engineer at Arteris
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced hardware security solutions. This role blends core product engineering with build, test, and development infrastructure work, with a primary focus on delivering performant, reliable software used for complex semiconductor design and verification workflows.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager (Devops and Security Solutions), this individual contributor will work across the software stack: implementing and maintaining core product functionality, improving analysis and verification workflows, strengthening automated test coverage, and helping scale the build and test, performance, and regression infrastructure used by engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, hands-on engineer who is comfortable moving between application code, scripting, debugging, test automation, and developer productivity improvements.
Development & Delivery
- Design, implement, debug, and maintain software components for our suite of hardware security solutions
- Improve correctness, runtime performance, memory efficiency, scalability, and debuggability of product features and supporting infrastructure
- Develop automated workflows that help engineering teams stress test products for correctness, performance, reliability, and stability
- Support and improve build, test, and regression systems as needed to accelerate development and release quality
- Execute effectively on tasks and milestones while delivering maintainable, well-tested software
- Drive continuous improvements in engineering efficiency, product robustness, and test reliability
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to understand product needs and customer workflows
- Help define practical testing methodologies with development and applications engineering teams that expand testing coverage towards continuous product improvement
- Communicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and implementation status clearly across engineering teams
- Contribute to a culture of technical ownership, peer review, and evidence-based decision making
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong modern C++ programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with 3+ years of experience
- Experience working on technical software products where correctness, performance, memory usage, and reliability matter
- Practical experience with Python scripting for automation, testing, build orchestration, or developer tooling
- Familiarity with Linux development environments, compilers, debuggers, build systems, and command-line workflows
- Experience integrating, maintaining, or scaling automated test suites for complex software workflows
- Ability to work across a mixed stack that may include C++, Python, Tcl, shell scripting, build tooling, and test infrastructure
- Experience with build systems such as CMake, Autotools, Bazel, Make, or similar
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with competing priorities
- Exposure to semiconductor design, verification, hardware description languages, or related technical domains
- Experience with CI/CD systems, regression automation, artifact management, and dependency caching
- Based in Kraków, Poland
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, simulation semantics, or semiconductor verification flows
- Experience developing software for hardware security, static analysis, simulation, synthesis, formal verification, or similar technical products
- Experience optimizing runtime performance, memory footprint, scalability, or concurrency in large C++ applications
- Experience with Python, Tcl, Bash, Perl or other scripting used in semiconductor design and verification environments
- Experience with performance monitoring, regression history aggregation, dashboards, or reporting tools (such as Grafana, Promethus)
- Understanding of software security and supply-chain best practices such as SBOMs, artifact signing, or static/binary analysis tools
- Experience working with third-party code quality, security, or analysis tools
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
