Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Dexon Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the General Innovation team (focused on research and innovation development), reporting to the General Innovation Manager. The role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing C/C++ software used with inspection tools, performing code reviews, preparing software manuals and technical documentation, and researching and evaluating NDT software and technologies. The position also provides software training, technical support, and consultation to inspectors and other users, while working closely with software, FPGA, and embedded system engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance C/C++ software used with inspection tools.
• Perform code reviews to follow with software development best practices and coding standards.
• Prepare and maintain software manuals, technical documentation, and engineering reports.
• Research, evaluate, and report on NDT software and technologies.
• Provide software training, technical support, and consultation to inspectors and other users.
• Work with software engineer/ FPGA engineer/ Embedded System engineer.
• Prepare and report the results and progress of assigned daily tasks.
• Be flexible and responsive to urgent or unexpected internal requests.
• Follow and comply with the company's quality, safety, and environmental management systems.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, Physics, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience, preferably in pipeline pigging or NDT.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, C# and Delphi.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with embedded systems, real-time systems, or hardware-software integration.
• Experience in computer graphics or geometric processing, preferably using OpenGL.
• Experience programming in multithreaded or parallel programming, including OpenMP.
• Experience with software version control systems, such as Git.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, particularly in 2D/3D applications.
• Good communication skills in English.
