Senior Software Engineer
Summary
Builds and refactors insurance software using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Java EE with Spring, testing and integrating features across Policy, Claims, and Billing modules.

- Design, develop, and refactor software features based on business requirements, ensuring adherence to quality standards including performance, scalability, and testability. Front-end development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and MobX. Object-oriented software engineering and distributed applications development.
- Build server-side applications using Node.js and Java-based backend development with Java Enterprise Edition on Tomcat or JBoss.
- Work with both relational and non-relational databases for data storage and management.
- Use Spring framework for dependency injection, transactions, and web services. Develop and integrate XML and SOAP-based services.
- Implement unit and integration tests to ensure robust functionality.
- Manage code using Git and GitLab. Work with EIS tools and libraries, focusing on Policy, Claims, Billing, Customer, and Self-Service modules.
- Follow team development processes and provide regular progress updates.
- Engage in cross-team collaboration.
- Various Worksites—position may allow for remote work; position may involve relocation to company headquarters in San Francisco, CA, or anticipated and unanticipated client worksites throughout the United States.
- REQUIRED EDUCATION: HS diploma + at least 2 years of college study towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: At least 1.5 years of experience in the job offered, or at least 1.5 years of experience with the following:
1. Front-end development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and MobX for the insurance software industry
2. Java-based backend development with Java Enterprise Edition for the insurance software industry
3. Building server-side applications using Node.js
4. Relational and non-relational databases for data storage and management
5. Developing and integrating XML and SOAP-based services
6. EIS Insurance Suite of products
Company headquarters & Interview site: Four Embarcadero Center, Suite 3410, San Francisco, CA 94111; various Worksites—position may allow for remote work; position may involve relocation to anticipated and unanticipated client worksites throughout the United States. Wage: $161,637.00 per year.
