Title and Summary
Senior Software Engineer F/TOverviewExecute and own the baseline architecture implementations and design activities collaborating with other engineers and engineering team.
Role.
• Regularly communicate with management about risk analysis and design tradeoffs.
• Define requirements for new applications and customization, adhering to internal standards, processes, and best practices.
• Design, develop and deliver software solutions for Mastercard Product offerings using Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Mongo, Redis, SQL databases and actively participate in R&D on the new frameworks.
• Participate and contribute in product kick off sessions and requirement workshops for direction and course correction with regards to domain based solutions, technology feasibility, competence requirements, resources requirements.
• Provide guidance to teams on development standards, automation, and tools.
• Create web applications for internal or external cloud.
• Assist with all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Responsible for gathering, understanding, and analysis of business requirements for new products.
• Identify features or refinements that can improve an existing product and design.
• Responsible for testing, and quality assurance of the product to ensure that any new or modified components properly adhere to Mastercard’s standards.
• Create unit, functional and integration tests.
• Responsible for utilizing highly technical skills to create documentation, including user guide and software development guides to be followed by external customers and internal software development professionals.
• Provide mentorship and technical support as needed to junior software developers.
About You
• Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered, or as Software Engineer, IT Engineer, Software Developer, Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
• Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year with each of the following: Scrum or Agile; Microservices or REST APIs; Java or Java EE; JSON or XML; Hibernate; Messaging systems like Kafka; Apache Tomcat; NoSQL or SQL; SPRING or SPRING BOOT; JENKINS or CI/CD TOOLS.
• Rate of pay: $189,592.00 - $221,000.00/ year
