The Senior Software Engineer will develop and architect cloud-based test data management platforms using ASAM ODS standards, big data technologies, and microservices to support automotive mobility initiatives. What you'll be able to do:

Senior Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Develop Test Data Management strategy and platform leveraging automotive industry standard for test data, that is, ASAM ODS and cloud technologies. Design cloud-based software architecture to manage efficient storage, indexing, aggregation, data mining, and retrieval of time-series data using big data technologies. Implement new capabilities to analyze and visualize test data, acquired from inspection or analysis of physical parts, systems or vehicles, by adopting the industry standard for test data management ASAM-ODS (Open Data Service). Deliver quality software by leveraging multiple programming languages and utilizing big data and cloud technologies. Architect microservices-based software solution in as per Ford standards and using ASAM ODS APIs and big data technologies. Design and develop new cloud-based software capabilities to automate data collection, data processing, indexing, aggregation and analysis through ETL data pipelines. Research, identify and implement software solutions to resolve business challenges in test data management, and analysis by using cloud, big data, automation, AI and ML based technologies.

You'll have…

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Information Technology Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 6 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing Java full stack to design and develop scalable web applications leveraging microservices architecture and REST APIs. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data in relational databases and design database schema for new software applications. 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing ASAM ODS (Open Data Service) to design and develop ETL processes for automotive test data. 2. Utilizing Elastic Search for data ingestion, index design and optimizing search query performance with big data. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing Angular to enable real-time data updates in the web application user interface. 2. Utilizing Spring Boot for microservices based web application development. 3. Leveraging Snowflake or Apache Spark to process, analyze and extract business insights from large datasets.

We are offering a salary of $138,486.00 - $179,118.72/yr.
