About the Role

Join METRO Sourcing’s cross-functional delivery PODs to build digital solutions for global sourcing, logistics and supply chain operations. As the technical counterpart to Business Analysts, you will remain hands-on while owning solution design, engineering decisions and delivery from concept to production support.

What You Will Do

• Own technical delivery: Turn business needs into practical solution designs, evaluate options, estimate work and manage dependencies and risks through development, testing, deployment and support.

• Build full-stack applications: Develop responsive React interfaces and scalable REST APIs and microservices with NestJS, including relational database design and Oracle PL/SQL integration.

• Deliver on AWS: Build and maintain cloud-native and serverless solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge and RDS, supported by Docker and automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Apply AI to business workflows: Develop LLM integrations, RAG pipelines and intelligent document processing solutions that automate work and connect with the core ERP system.

• Shape solutions with the POD: Partner with Business Analysts and engineers to clarify problems, challenge assumptions constructively and recommend feasible, sustainable approaches.

• Protect quality and reliability: Build secure, tested, documented and monitored solutions that meet enterprise architecture, integration and data-governance standards.

• Strengthen engineering practices: Contribute through code reviews, technical documentation, knowledge sharing and guidance to other engineers where appropriate.

What knowledge and experience You Bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of solution design and end-to-end delivery. Candidates with equivalent senior-level capability will also be considered.

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js/NestJS, React and AWS.

• Experience building REST APIs and working with relational databases and Oracle PL/SQL integration.

• Practical experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing and API documentation.

• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs and building RAG solutions using tools such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, LangChain or LlamaIndex.

• Strong problem-solving, technical judgement, ownership and stakeholder communication.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Good to Have

• Experience with TypeORM or Prisma, GraphQL, Redis, WebSockets, Jest or Cypress, OpenAPI or Swagger, vector databases such as pgvector.

• Certificate: AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
