Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack
You will work on the design, architecture, and building of enterprise systems that power our trading, operations, and risk functions. You'll build tools, reports, and feeds that fulfil business requirements across the company, while taking ownership of software quality, efficiency, cost, and operational resiliency. You will participate actively in cross-company technology efforts to achieve various business and operational goals as they arise, and collaborate closely with the various Heads of business lines and front office trading to properly implement and maintain various systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect and build enterprise systems
- Build tools, reports, and feeds to fulfil business requirements from trading, operations and risk teams
- Own software quality, efficiency, cost and operational resiliency
- Participate actively in cross-company technology efforts
- Work closely with Heads of business lines and front office trading on system implementation and maintenance
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience working in a technical role
- Bachelor's or postgrad from a renowned University in a related field
- AWS certification a distinct advantage
- Experience in a cloud environment
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals
- Software architecture and design
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS or other major cloud platforms)
- Extensive Java experience is beneficial but not a requisite (ideally including Spring Boot)
- Database design and management (ideally PostgreSQL)
- Queue-based systems (ideally Kafka)
- Running agile software development teams (Scrum, JIRA and Atlassian suite)
- Testing approach and implementation (Unit/integration testing, Functional testing)
- DevOps experience (CI/CD pipeline development, Containerised systems, Automated deployment)
