Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack
You'll join a tight-knit collaborative team on a mission to help millions of people improve their relationship with money. You'll design, build, and maintain backend code that supports features used by 5 million users, primarily developing in Typescript. You'll take part in regular code reviews and other team functions, and you'll offer technical leadership by helping guide the team's overall technical direction. You'll mentor and pair with other engineers regularly, and work closely with product managers and designers to define feature specifications and build products using frameworks like React.js and React Native.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend code to support features used by 5 million users
- Develop backend features in Typescript
- Participate in code reviews and other team functions
- Provide technical leadership and help guide the team's overall technical direction
- Mentor and pair with other engineers regularly
- Work closely with PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build products using React.js and React Native
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in Computer Science or related discipline, or appropriate related experience/training
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building full stack applications
- Strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Experience programming in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including JavaScript, Java, Python, C/C++ or Go
- Experience using a modern UI framework to build user-focused interfaces
- Effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Understanding of monitoring and metric tools
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Ability to discuss and explain system architecture and component design
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
