GISCON is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Kuwait City to build and maintain web applications for government digital transformation projects. Day-to-day is full-stack work: developing frontend and backend features with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Node.js, integrating REST APIs and SQL databases, and ensuring quality, security, and performance.
GISCON is looking for an accomplished Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in Kuwait and play a key role in delivering innovative, scalable, and secure solutions for government technology and digital transformation initiatives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications for Digital Transformation projects.
- Implement frontend and backend features according to technical and functional requirements.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and database services.
- Integrate applications with existing systems and external services.
- Fix bugs, optimize performance, and ensure application quality and security.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and technical support.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in software development.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL databases, and Git.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, and debugging.
- Experience with government, enterprise, GIS, or digital transformation projects is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
