Senior Software Engineer - Golang & React | Brazil & Argentina
Summary
Design and build high-traffic backend systems in Go and full-stack React apps; lead architecture, mentor engineers, and integrate AI tools while ensuring robust, scalable infrastructure on AWS and Kafka.
Senior Software Engineer - Golang & React | Brazil & Argentina #3104
Mission: Lead the architecture and implementation of our high-traffic, large-scale platform. In this role, you will design robust backend systems using event-driven architectures, build seamless full-stack applications, and shape our overall technical direction.
You will serve as an architectural leader—writing system designs, integrating third-party SaaS vendors, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, security, and data teams across distributed time zones to deliver high-impact features. As a mentor, you will elevate the team by setting engineering standards, conducting deep code reviews, and distilling complex technical concepts for stakeholders at all levels.
Most Important
- Deep engineering fundamentals in Golang, distributed systems architecture, and data modeling within MongoDB.
- Experience contributing to React frontends, specifically for internal operational tools, routing configurations, or persona-based Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Proven mastery of leveraging generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, agentic frameworks) to compound coding velocity and output while maintaining rigorous quality guardrails.
- Strong, hands-on experience designing and operating infrastructure involving Kafka/MSK, AWS (Lambda, SQS, SES, API Gateway), Terraform/CDK, idempotency, deduplication, dead letter queues, and circuit breakers.
- Practical understanding of building zero-downtime cutover patterns, dual-write architectures, and high-volume reconciliation pipelines (migrating 20M+ records).
- The ability to make sound architectural decisions independently under tight timelines, without needing hand-holding on system design.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience building or integrating with compliance-adjacent systems, heavily regulated financial environments, or workflows involving EDD, KYC, AML, and SOC2 audit requirements.
- Practical experience with Python to leverage its mature AI and machine learning library ecosystem.
- Familiarity with third-party tools and data platforms like Amazon Connect, MuleSoft, Airflow, Hummingbird, Refinitiv/World-Check, and Snowflake CDC pipelines.
- You thrive in an intense "tiger team" environment and are willing to pull out all the stops to meet aggressive delivery milestones.
- You view loosely defined requirements as an opportunity to architect clean solutions rather than a blocker.
- Ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams to re-evaluate legacy automations and articulate complex technical tradeoffs clearly.
- Extreme ownership over technical domains end-to-end, maintaining high code quality even when executing under pressure.
