Summary

Senior full-stack engineer at Huge's Technology practice in Colombia, building enterprise headless CMS integrations and content migrations for Fortune 500 clients. Day-to-day centers on Next.js/TypeScript frontend apps with Vercel Edge Functions, CMS platforms like Contentful, and Algolia-powered search.

Location: This position is remote within Colombia.

About Technology.

Technology at Huge is powered by a global practice of creative technologists—spanning Engineers, QA specialists, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and ML Architects—we look beyond standard patterns to build resilient, enterprise-grade systems. We combine deep engineering rigor with innovation at the edge of agentic AI, modern data stacks, and cloud infrastructure. We don't wait for industry standards to set themselves; we engineer the intelligent systems that turn audacious strategic vision into production-ready reality.

The role.

Huge is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Technology practice in Colombia. In this role, you will lead the integration and content modeling for enterprise headless CMS platforms—with a focus on onboarding quickly to selected vendor solutions like Contentful, Kontent.ai, Contentstack, or Optimizely SaaS—including headless integrations, localization, and search with Algolia—while engineering high-performance frontend applications with Next.js, Next.js Middleware, and Vercel Edge Functions. Working alongside product, UX, and strategy leadership, you will architect edge-rendered web applications, execute automated content migration scripting to migrate "Keep" content from KER workshops, interface cleanly with client-provided API endpoints and shared services, and build composable digital experiences for Fortune 500 clients.

What you'll be doing.

  • Design, structure, and implement flexible content models in headless CMS platforms (with a potential focus on Contentful, Kontent.ai, Contentstack, or Optimizely SaaS), implementing localization and headless integrations, integrating headless APIs seamlessly with modern web applications.
  • Architect and deploy high-performance applications utilizing Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js Middleware, and Vercel Edge Functions for request routing, personalization, and edge performance optimization.
  • Lead automated content migration initiatives using custom scripting and AI-assisted workflows to migrate designated "Keep" content identified from KER workshops.
  • Build seamless headless integrations (including Algolia for search and localization) and interface cleanly with client-provided API endpoints, shared services, and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Develop accessible, W3C-compliant web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and modern CSS/design-system libraries.
  • Partner with UX, Product, and QA teams to evaluate feature feasibility, refine requirements from Figma designs, and enforce accessibility (WCAG/ARIA) and Core Web Vitals standards.
  • Apply software design patterns, maintain spec documentation, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior engineers within an agile, globally distributed environment.

What we'd like to see.

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in agile environments, delivering large-scale web applications for enterprise clients.
  • Mandatory proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development and integrations.
  • Deep experience with headless CMS delivery, content modeling, and configuration, with the agility to quickly onboard onto chosen platforms (e.g., Contentful, Kontent.ai, Contentstack, Optimizely SaaS) with expertise in localization and headless integrations.
  • Hands-on experience developing automated content migration scripts to ingest, transform, and map legacy content into modern CMS structures.
  • Proven track record in API integration—specifically interfacing cleanly with custom or third-party/client-provided API endpoints and shared services.
  • Strong mastery of Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript (ES202x), Next.js Middleware, and deployment via Vercel Edge Functions.
  • Experience with Algolia integration, designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs, Node.js backend services, and database design (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Strong knowledge of composable architecture, Storybook, design tokens, and modern CSS solutions (TailwindCSS, Sass).
  • In depth understanding of WCAG/ARIA standards, Lighthouse audits, and Core Web Vitals optimization.
  • Familiarity with automated build/deploy pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), edge CDNs (Vercel, Cloudflare), and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience, with advanced English proficiency (C1+) for global collaboration.
