Senior Software Engineer I Evaluation Services

You will act as a senior technical contact for partners integrating with APIs, guiding them on authentication, endpoints, data models, and architecture. You will troubleshoot REST, WebSocket, and real-time data issues; review implementations; build diagnostic tools; collaborate on integration milestones; improve documentation and support practices; and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical point of contact for partners integrating with NinjaTrader APIs.
• Guide partners on authentication, endpoints, data models, and architectural best practices.
• Debug complex integration issues and review partner implementations.
• Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve API issues involving WebSocket connections, REST endpoints, and real-time data feeds.
• Establish best practices for troubleshooting, documentation, and partner communication.
• Build and enhance internal tools, scripts, and diagnostic utilities.
• Synthesize partner feedback into recommendations for Product and Engineering.
• Mentor junior team members on technical troubleshooting and partner communication.
• Develop expertise in the evaluation platform, trading systems, and API architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with API development, system integrations, and partner-facing platforms.
• Experience working with Technical Account Managers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, WebSockets, JSON, OAuth, and API debugging tools.
• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience reviewing code, pair debugging, and guiding architectural decisions with partner engineering teams.
• Ability to analyze logs, trace API calls, and isolate issues across distributed systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority partner engagements.
