Senior Software Engineer II

You will lead technically complex projects and act as a multiplier for your team. You'll drive the execution of complex technical initiatives from concept to production while maintaining high standards for performance and reliability. You'll dig into the architecture to identify opportunities to simplify code and infrastructure, prioritizing changes with measurable business impact. You'll use the best AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate your workflow, improve code quality, and focus more of your time on high-level logic and unconventional problems. You'll mentor and coach your peers, raising the technical bar through diligent PR reviews and architectural guidance. You'll also partner closely with product and design to make sure the right solution is being built for the user, not just following a specification.

Requirements

• Experience with (or a desire to learn) Python, Django, React, Postgres, and Kafka
• Familiarity with Java, gRPC, and AWS
• Ability to break down complex user stories into actionable tasks and execute with minimal guidance
• Ability to articulate technical trade-offs to stakeholders
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience recommended
