Senior Software Engineer (Integrations)

Discussion

Summary

Senior engineer who takes technical ownership of a live logistics platform's integration layer — maintaining hundreds of telematics, fleet, and logistics data feeds while building reusable frameworks and internal tooling to scale to thousands of feeds. Stack: Java/Spring, TypeScript/Node, C#, Kafka, event-driven architecture, AWS/GCP, and an AI-native workflow.

Senior Integrations Engineer 🔗

Various integration styles · Build the frameworks · Scale to thousands of feeds

At CO3, we are standing up a new team to take technical ownership of a live logistics platform integrated into our ecosystem.
The platform lives and dies by integrations: connecting a hyper-fragmented market of heavy fleets, logistics providers, and telematics systems into one unified, real-time data stream.

We’re looking for a Senior Integrations Engineer who doesn't just wire up one more API — but deeply understands existing integration flows, maintains system stability, and builds the scalable frameworks to unify and modernize our entire integration pipeline.

🚀 Why this role?

  • Real Platform Evolution: Take ownership of a live production platform—understanding its current integration layer, maintaining production reliability, and modernizing the stack into CO3’s core architecture.
  • Genuine Ownership: Integrations, cloud infrastructure, engineering standards, and the unification strategy are yours to participate in and execute.
  • Scale & Ecosystem Variety: Hundreds of active integrations across the logistics ecosystem, handling high throughput and complex data feeds.
  • Build Frameworks, Not Just Plugs: Build and extend the internal abstractions, tooling, and developer frameworks that make every future integration faster, safer, and easier to maintain.

🎯 Your mission

  • Deconstruct & Maintain: Deeply analyze existing integration pipelines and telematics feeds, keeping them stable, reliable, and performant in production.
  • Tackle Multiple Integrations: Work across diverse integration styles (REST, streaming/Kafka, webhooks, batch, message queues, vendor protocols) and keep high data quality.
  • Build Tooling & Frameworks: Design reusable frameworks and internal developer tooling so the team can scale to thousands of feeds without increasing operational overhead.
  • Design for Scale & Resilience: Build for high throughput, back-pressure handling, retries, and data integrity across distributed data streams.
  • Modernize & Unify: Step-by-step refactor and transition legacy integration flows into CO3's unified, event-driven platform architecture.
  • Work AI-Native: Utilize modern AI tooling to rapidly navigate existing integration codebases, streamline refactoring, and raise development velocity.

🎁 What's in it for you

    • High-Impact Leverage: Build and maintain the core frameworks, abstractions, and developer tooling that power multiple data feeds, ETL pipelines, and data integrations across Europe.
    • Modern & AI-Native Stack: Work with Kafka, AWS/GCP, event-driven architecture, and Java/Spring—backed by a fully AI-integrated daily workflow.
    • Solve Real Data Scale: Tackle heavy data volumes, batch processing, and various integration patterns.
    • True Product Ownership: One long-term evolving logistics platform, no body-leasing or software house setup, and a candid, "No-BS" engineering culture.
    • Flexibility: Remote-first across Poland with an optional Wrocław office setup (Powstańców Śląskich).

    We're looking for you if:

    • Master of various integration styles: from REST/Webhooks and custom APIs to ETL pipelines, batch processing, raw file exchanges, and handling massive data volumes.
    • Languages are tools to you: Strong in Java (Spring), comfortable finding your feet in TypeScript/Node and C# (for existing/legacy modules of the platform stack).
    • You think in frameworks: You naturally spot repeatable integration patterns and build abstractions, or internal developer tools instead of copy-pasting your tenth API adapter.
    • You know event-driven systems: Hands-on experience with Kafka (or similar messaging) and comfort handling asynchronous, high-throughput, and distributed data streams.
    • You are AI-fluent: You actively use AI tooling in your daily workflow to navigate complex codebases faster, streamline refactoring, and reduce boilerplate.
    • You are open-minded & pragmatic: You tackle legacy code or complex third-party APIs with curiosity and common sense—focusing on data integrity, uptime, and shipping value.

    Bonus points

    • Transport, logistics, or telematics domain experience.
    • AWS or GCP cloud exposure.
    • Prior experience building internal developer tools, SDKs, or integration frameworks.
