Senior Software Engineer (Java | Microservices | Banking & Financial Services) SP

About the client: Out client is leading IT and digital transformation company.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain enterprise applications for banking, treasury, rewards, and capital markets platforms.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Implement workflow-driven solutions and maker-checker processes.
• Develop batch processing and cross-system data synchronization solutions.
• Integrate with external platforms, market data providers, and core banking systems.
• Optimize application and database performance for high-volume transaction processing.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and production deployments.
• Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Strong expertise in Kafka, REST APIs, Spring Batch, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with cloud and container platforms including AWS, OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Proven experience delivering enterprise applications within Banking, Payments, Treasury, or Capital Markets domains.
• Strong stakeholder management, solution design, performance tuning, and production support experience.
