Senior Software Engineer (Java & Python)

Summary

Build and lead the Jamf Insights web app for device fleet analytics using Java and Python, designing dashboards, inventory, and reporting workflows for admins and MSPs.

Position Overview

Senior Software Engineer – Jamf Insights Web Application (Hybrid, London, United Kingdom)

What you’ll do

  • Lead technology transition and build skills in a recognized tech company.
  • Work on the web application that powers Jamf Insights for admins and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
  • Help create a simpler, focused version of Jamf Pro for device fleet management.
  • Contribute to detailed device inventory, analytics dashboards, enrolment configurations, reporting, and streamlined workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Break down customer problems into actionable work for the team.
  • Independently complete tasks from start to finish with high quality.
  • Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Apply engineering best practices to ask the right questions, solve problems, and build high‑quality software.
  • Produce designs for new and existing features.
  • Communicate technical concepts with Technical Communication, Support, Product and Cloud teams.
  • Align job responsibilities with Jamf’s core values, mission and purpose.
  • Adhere to the highest moral, ethical and legal standards in a respectful, innovative environment.
  • Support a positive, inclusive workplace welcoming diverse talents.

Qualifications

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of developing enterprise‑grade software with an understanding of testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in the primary programming language and tools required for this role.

Preferred skills and experience

  • General experience with performance and load testing applications.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
  • Experience building enterprise‑level software.
  • Experience working within an agile organization.
  • Understanding of build systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with co‑workers in a results‑driven culture.
  • Ability to engage and establish trust with customers and employees at all levels.
  • Solution‑focused collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Apple platform experience.

Education

  • 2‑year/Associate’s degree (Required).
  • 4‑year/Bachelor’s degree (Preferred).
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
