Senior Software Engineer (Java & React.js) – Singapore

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer with at least 5years of recent hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level web applications using Java and React.js in an Agile development environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-level IT systems and applications.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including system analysis, development, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners and project teams in an Agile development environment.
• Develop and enhance applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes and optimise application performance.
• Leverage AI tools to support software development and technical solutioning.
• Develop test cases, conduct System Integration Testing (SIT), load testing and performance tuning.
• Support production deployment, system enhancements and post-implementation activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications and system documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of recent hands-on experience in software development, preferably in full-stack application development.
• Experience in modern application technologies, including:
• Backend Development: Java / Kotlin
• Frontend Development: React.js
• Frameworks: Spring Framework
• Database: PostgreSQL or other relational databases (RDBMS)
• Messaging / Integration: MQ (Message Queuing)
• DevOps: Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Experience in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Agile Sprint Planning.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for software development and technical solutioning.
• Good understanding of system design, application integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with the following technologies will be advantageous:
• Cloud Platforms: AWS
• Containerization: Docker
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.

This is a 1-year contract, renewable and convertible to permanent.
