Senior Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot)

Lead the architecture, design and development of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot and microservices.

Design and enhance REST APIs, distributed systems and complex system integrations.

Drive database performance optimisation, including SQL query tuning and efficient data management.

Ensure application stability, scalability and reliability across Kubernetes and cloud environments.

Troubleshoot complex production incidents, system bottlenecks and performance issues in high-volume environments.

Lead application modernisation, system improvements and cloud-native transformation initiatives.

Establish engineering best practices, conduct architecture reviews and mentor development teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.

Job Requirements

Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience, including strong system architecture and technical leadership.

Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.

Advanced PostgreSQL and/or Oracle SQL skills, including query optimisation, performance tuning and database administration.

Proven experience deploying, operating and troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes and cloud platforms.

Strong experience designing and delivering large-scale, production-grade applications, beyond proof-of-concept projects.

Demonstrated ability to resolve complex production incidents, application performance issues and system failures.

Experience with system integration, workflow orchestration and application modernisation.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.

Added Advantages

Experience in telecommunications, CRM, BSS/OSS, billing or order management systems.

Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.

Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
