Senior Software Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer based in India.

This is a senior engineering opportunity focused on building secure, scalable, and reliable capabilities for enterprise SaaS platforms. You will take ownership of significant technical initiatives across software design, development, testing, and production support. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural thinking and close collaboration across product, QA, UX, and operations teams. You will work with C# and .NET while engaging with functional programming, system-level APIs, networking protocols, distributed systems, and cross-platform development. The position also encourages the practical use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality. You will contribute to technical standards, mentor other engineers, and help drive continuous improvements across the development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software features for enterprise SaaS platforms and related product capabilities.
• Build scalable services, APIs, platform components, integrations, and customer-facing functionality with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Contribute to technical architecture, design decisions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, UX/UI, operations, and engineering teams to deliver roadmap commitments effectively.
• Improve software performance, reliability, security, maintainability, automation, and observability across the technology stack.
• Follow and contribute to the evolution of Agile development, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Apply AI-assisted coding tools for code generation, analysis, reviews, and other software development activities.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, constructive code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Clearly communicate project progress, technical risks, blockers, and architectural trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Work within a hybrid setup requiring onsite presence at the Pune office three days per week.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience working with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Experience with functional programming using F#, or a strong willingness and ability to learn it.
• Very good knowledge of Win32 APIs and system-level development concepts.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including HTTP, TLS, and WebSockets.
• Experience working with different inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Previous experience designing or developing distributed systems.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools for code generation, analysis, and code reviews.
• Experience developing software for macOS and/or Linux environments.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle tools such as Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins is an advantage.
• Experience with reactive programming, AWS cloud infrastructure, or open-source software contributions is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and cross-functional teams.
• Professional fluency in English, including business-level written, spoken, and reading proficiency.
• Ability to work from the Pune office three days per week.
