Role Senior Software Engineer

Location Poland Krakow

Full time/Contract

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cloud-based applications using Java
• Review proposed solutions to ensure alignment with CTO Platforms objectives and standards
• Champion high standards in software engineering including code quality, security and maintainability
• Deliver appropriate comprehensive automated testing as part of every change unit integration and regression where applicable
• Approach technical challenges with an open collaborative mindset
• Take initiative to improve the developer experience and efficiency
• Provide guidance, coaching and technical support to less experienced colleagues

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with clear business‑level English and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a polyglot mindset, proven ability to deliver in more than one language and ecosystem
• Experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot is desirable but not essential. Candidates strong in other languages and motivated to learn Java are welcome
• Strong grasp of functional, non‑blocking asynchronous programming. Comfort working with modern concurrency models and reactive approaches
• Experience with security software. Exposure to secure engineering practices and security‑focused tooling desirable
• Hands‑on cloud experience. Practical capability designing, building and operating workloads in the cloud
• Strong testing approach and selection skills. Sound judgement applying the right testing techniques for the context (unit, integration, contract, end‑to‑end)
• Performance testing knowledge nice to have. Familiarity with performance test design, execution and interpretation of results
• API security at scale experience beneficial. Knowledge of securing high‑volume APIs including authentication, authorisation and threat mitigation
• High attention to detail. Consistent focus on quality, accuracy and maintainability
