Senior Software Engineer

Experience: Minimum 8 years of provable software engineering experience

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design, build and support reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong object-oriented development background and experience working with cloud infrastructure, containers and relational databases. Financial services or banking experience is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications.
• Build and support solutions using Java, C# or another object-oriented programming language.
• Work with product, business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain applications deployed in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Build, deploy and support cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Design, query and maintain relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot issues and help ensure application quality, performance and reliability.
  

Minimum requirements

• At least 8 years of provable software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java, C# or another object-oriented programming language.
• At least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• At least 5 years of AWS experience.
• An AWS Associate-level certification.
• At least 8 years of experience with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
  

Desirable experience

• Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
• Experience working on enterprise applications and complex technical environments.
