Senior Software Engineer (.NET & Azure)
Summary
Develop scalable cloud-native microservices and messaging platforms using .NET, Azure, and Kubernetes while migrating legacy systems to modern architectures.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (.NET & Azure) to help design and build the next generation cloud native messaging platform replacing fragmented legacy solutions. The successful candidate will develop modern, scalable microservices using Microsoft technologies while supporting cloud migration, system integration, and platform modernization initiatives.
Job responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain cloud native applications using .NET and Microsoft Azure.
• Build scalable microservices deployed on Kubernetes.
• Develop APIs and integration services supporting event driven architectures.
• Implement messaging solutions using Kafka and related middleware technologies.
• Participate in migrating legacy functionality to modern services.
• Contribute to modernization of data platforms and integration with Snowflake, MongoDB, and target architectures.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure solutions meet security, resilience, performance, and operational requirements.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
• Work closely with architects, Epic Owners, QA, and DevOps engineers in Agile teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C# and .NET (.NET 8 or later preferred).
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Experience developing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event driven architectures and Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and modern cloud native development practices.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud migration and application modernization programmes.
• Knowledge of Snowflake or modern data warehouse platforms.
• Experience with messaging systems, middleware, and integration platforms.
• Financial Services, Payments, SWIFT, or ISO 20022 experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus).
