Senior Software Developer (.NET / C#)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Contract Duration: 1 year and extendable

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer (.NET/C#) to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications. You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design through development, testing, and production release.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with C# and Web API/REST, with exposure to modern .NET technologies, cloud/container environments, frontend development, and AI-assisted software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using C# and .NET.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

• Develop and integrate Web APIs and RESTful services.

• Implement data persistence using ORM/Entity Framework, SQL, or NoSQL technologies.

• Develop and maintain web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, architects, and other development teams to deliver technical solutions.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum development and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Write clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code following software engineering best practices.

• Support CI/CD, containerisation, logging, and enterprise application deployment.

• Leverage Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity, code quality, testing, and problem-solving.

Technical Requirements

Must Have

• Strong hands-on experience with C# throughout design, development, testing, and release phases.

• Good experience with Web API and REST.

• Good knowledge of data persistence using at least one of ORM, Entity Framework, SQL, or NoSQL.

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Strong software development and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with a recent version of .NET Core / .NET.

• Knowledge of SOLID, Gang of Four Design Patterns, DDD, and Clean Architecture.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Knowledge of requirements analysis and gathering.

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, or GitHub Actions.

• Experience with centralized logging tools such as Splunk.

• Experience working with microservices architecture.

• Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.

• Frontend experience with React and/or Angular.

• Exposure to Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools.
