Summary

Senior engineer on monday.com's render.ai, a small startup-like AI venture, building a product that lets anyone turn ideas into reality using words. Day to day: shaping an undefined product end-to-end across React/Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript and GCP/AWS, with AI tools writing a meaningful share of the code.

Meet render.ai, 's new AI venture. At , we're redefining how humans use AI for work. enables anyone to bring ideas to life in minutes, using their words. We're a small, autonomous team - closer in spirit to an early-stage startup than to an established company. There's no fixed playbook: we're still figuring out what the product looks like, and every engineer helps shape that, not just build it.

What are we looking for?

We believe the role of a software engineer is changing. As AI takes on more of the implementation work, great engineers spend less time translating specs into code and more time deciding what should be built and whether it's actually good.

  • An experienced, product-minded engineer with ~4+ years of software engineering experience. Problems here won't arrive as polished specs; you'll start from a user need, help define the product, and take it all the way to production.

  • You use AI as leverage, not a substitute for judgment. We expect AI to write a meaningful share of the code. Your value is knowing what to ask for and spotting when the output is wrong.

  • You think like a product builder, not just an implementer. You care about UX, challenge assumptions, and iterate based on what you learn, with a real say in what we build, not only how.

  • You thrive in an early-stage startup, where priorities shift, and many important problems are still undefined, and you're excited to create clarity rather than wait for it.

  • You can build end-to-end. Background matters less than your ability to move across the stack and get something into users' hands; backgrounds in SaaS, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and hardware are all relevant.

  • Deeply hands-on with React/Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript, and comfortable with cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS), CI/CD, and production systems.

  • Strong product taste and user empathy, moving faster only matters if we're moving toward something people actually want.

  • A strong communicator and teammate. In a small team, ideas get shaped together, so we value people who communicate clearly and challenge each other constructively.

Advantages

  • Experience building AI-native products

  • Familiarity with modern AI/LLM tools, using them day-to-day is a plus, not a requirement

  • Experience with vector embeddings, RAG architectures, or AI inference pipelines

  • Experience with real-time collaboration, WebSockets, or state-sync frameworks
