Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive the development and evolution of our core stakeholder "branches". In this role, you won't just be shipping features; you will be a primary architect of the product experience for a specific domain (e. g., Prescriber, Pharmacy, or PSP). You will work with a high degree of autonomy to build, scale, and optimise the infrastructure that connects these stakeholders to life-saving medications.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Domain Execution: Act as the lead individual contributor for a specific stakeholder branch. You will be responsible for building and refining the "gold-standard" code that defines how users interact with our core engine.
• Scalable Engineering: Build and optimise high-concurrency systems designed to handle 10k+ monthly transactions. You'll ensure the platform remains highly reliable, secure, and performant as we scale.
• Architecture and Design: Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap. You'll design robust schemas and system integrations that manage complex, multi-party healthcare data.
• Quality and Mentorship: Maintain a high bar for code quality through rigorous peer reviews and documentation. While this is an IC-heavy role, you will help level up the team by mentoring intermediate and junior engineers.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain infrastructure that meets strict data integrity standards (HIPAA/PIPEDA), ensuring patient data is handled with the highest level of security.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience: Proven track record in professional software engineering, specifically building complex, distributed systems.
• Product-First Mindset: You care about the "why" behind the code. You understand that your technical decisions directly impact how quickly a patient receives treatment.
• System Scale: Experience building or scaling high-transaction environments (e. g., fintech, health tech, or logistics) where reliability is non-negotiable.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in modern backend frameworks and cloud infrastructure. You are comfortable navigating architectural trade-offs between speed and stability.
• Communication: Exceptional English proficiency. You can clearly articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with Canadian product leadership.
